Everyone wants to "Save the Bees," but many commercially-available solitary bee houses do more harm than good, and the internet is full of misleading tutorials. Learn how to make "bee hotels" the right way with bee experts Sara June and Jonathan Giacomini. In this workshop, you will learn about the biology of common NC native bees, and how you can make your yard into a pollinator paradise. You will also make and decorate your very own bee hotel, and learn how to properly maintain it for bee health.
Date: September 2019 (tentative) Location: TBD (Triangle area) This event is open to the public, but NCES members get a hefty discount. Not a member? Join today! Registration will open in August. |
